    Hi there,

I just recently discovered your forum while searching informations for two crossbow builds I am trying to do. I have limited experience building a miniature prototype for the first build and am trying to start designing using Autodesk Inventor.

The main topic I am interested in crossbows are the repeating crossbows. Any specific section for that?  Wink

Welcome.  No special section for repeaters.  There are a number of posts that you should search out, two Chinese repeaters, and a pump-action repeater from the 1960s in America.

"repeating" is a good starting search word...

    Hi,
    Thanks for the welcomming.

I had a look through the forum and used the search option... a lot!

My two designs are actually radically different from those. It's more like: "Load once, pul the trigger 6 or 7 times.".

I think the "Mech" or "Sling" bow part will be the best then.

P.S.: Was looking through the whole forum... its huge so sorry for the delay... it's actually called an automatic, not a repeating crossbow...  Embarassed
    Please excuse my frenchman confusion.

Good luck.  Looking forward to your build.  The only truly "automatic" design I've seen was a YouTube of a guy in Europe somewhere whose crossbow had an electric powered cocking mechanism.  Cock and arm the system; pull the trigger; a battery motor re-cocks the string and a bot drops into place; pull the trigger again...

Thanks. Yes I have seen this one.
I'll try posting my miniature end of this year. Everything purely mechanical. I have seen this system too but don't like the idea of using an electrical motor.

I don't have any powertool so all my builds are handmade with a lot of sweat and time.
