Intesting Mechanical Bow can pre-cocking and locking Empty Intesting Mechanical Bow can pre-cocking and locking

I have seen a very unique mechanical pre-cockingand locking bow.
It uses a cocking rod and a trigger to draw and hold the bow string tension.
I was confused that it seems the old man's left hand did nothing when releasing the bow string and cocking rod after full draw. Can anyond who use such bow explain its mechanism? Thanks in advance!

    Hi And.
They are not the same since one is removable cocking rod the other is fixed rod like crossbow.
