Hi,
I am new to crossbows but I have enjoyed reading through the information and experiences all of you have gone through in your time as arbalists.
I was inspired to build a crossbow after seeing my brother-in-law's crossbow this hunting season. He bought his but I plan on building mine. I'm planning on doing a reverse draw crossbow similar to many of the ones that I've seen in this forum. It was my research on reverse crossbows that lead me to this website. I believe it was ali j's build that brought me here.
I will start a build thread when I get a bit farther along. Right now I'm struggling with drilling through leaf springs for the limbs so they can be attached.
In the meantime I will drop my trigger design as it stands. I still want to modify it so the safety engages when the crossbow is cocked. I took my safety inspiration from the Ruger mini-14. It's safety is mounted in front of the trigger guard.
