    I'll answer your question here then. On the RDT thread Hermit posted this:

    I don't know how to figure the length of string needed. I buy my first string and measure it. That way I know the strands, serving length and length to go with that prod. It is an extra $20 but it works for me.

    Euell,regarding string length,are you intending to buy a prod?,if you are the prod manufacturer or seller will usually be able to sell you a string.If not they can  tell you the string length required.If you intend to make your own string,then you need the brace height(or fistmele)of the bow.When you have that you can string the bow with a bastard string and a homemade fixture until the brace height is obtained.Measuring between the tips of the bow will give the string length.

    Say Hermit thanks for the info on the prod,and string. Where I downloaded the the plans to the crossbow, I'll be ordering the prod,string,roller nut,trigger, and stirrup from them.
