I've just listed a set of unused pla ns on ebay uk, I wasn't going to post internationally but then I thought about the guild I don't post much but I read regularly.

So for members I'll post at cost, it would be good to think the plans would be used and I never will.

Item number: 292059878633 if your interested.

hi its my first post here, but i thought it polite to tell you first  ,i got the plans thank you very much Smile ,now i can tell you what i intend to do with them ,trying to be become  a target crossbow shooter in the uk is like trying to catch the loch ness monster,ie its frustrating Smile  ,theres so many rules ,hardly any where  to shoot and if there is they will inspect yer bow to see if it conforms to whatever standard ,anyway i intend to build an accurate  crossbow ,that can compete and that anyone can build  just using basic tools ,( just in the same way old "pop" Bailey did ) it will conform to whatever specification the rule makers wish ,i cant do it on my own ,so i need the help of this forum ,i have ideas about how i want to go with it and i think ive got it right  ,im going to go "public" on this forum to try and inlist some help ,i hope you can join in .its gunna be interesting and fun Smile

Welcome, kcb -- that's an admirable goal, one which I'm sure you can accomplish with some foresight and planning (and maybe some help from us).  We'll help as we can.  I suppose the first thing you (and we) need are the current specifications for a competition crossbow in the category you are interested in.  Either a bullet list of requirements, or the governing body's actual verbage for the spec.    Things like min-max draw weight, min-max overall weight, lock/action type, safety, sights, prod and tiller materials allowed, would be a good place to start.  Those things will determine the overall design of your crossbow.

the uk rules as i see it ,and i might be wrong ,cuz its complicated ,is 95 pound at 300mm draw .im not certan about that cuz theres loads of differnt bodies that control this, all icare about is we as agroup can build a bow that can be a winner based on our own collective thoughts ,just like old pop did Smile

old "pop" Said he wanted to make A crossbow to compete along side the long bow .i think he got his maths about right ,but the bow he designed , dont quallify ,even though its maybe the optimum proper  crossbow any one can ever build ,but because of the draw length ,it will be banned here in the uk ,obviously altering the drag lenghth alers the whole bow ,but what they cant change is the trigger Smile

I hope you enjoy the plans, I included the Mother Earth plans but they are not that much use.
