    Dont´t know how to find out the elastic potential energy in a compound bow. The draw force curve isn´t linear so how to calculate? Remember seeing a picture recomending to measure the draw force every centimeter and putting in the numbers in a diagram to calculate the total volume. Anyone who can help me?

    When letting the string go back to the normal rest-position, the draw is less hard because heath- and internal friction losses. Shall I calculate when drawing the string or when I let it go back again (the true force/energy  applied to the arrow.)

    The easiest way to calculate this is to use a spreadsheet. The link below is from a traditional bowyers site, but it works the same for compounds as traditional bows.  I would use the measurements as the bow is let down.
