NFS plus a Warning: Masai Crossbow

Post by TonyU on Mon May 07, 2018 8:55 am

I have decided not to sell as I have improved the painted enamel metal parts with Durocoat Parker finish.  It's a very good bow.
It has also just come to my attention ,from a fellow in Indonesia, that several buyers have been ripped off by this guy in South Africa.
I knew about one man here in the U.S. that never received his bow, but didn't know there were more out there.  I was hoping not.
The positive review of my bow is still up on his webpage, but I cannot remove it.  If you plan on buying a Masai, I wouldn't do it unless
you can actually pick it up in person.

    Masai Huntsman Crossbow
    from South Africa

Crafted of African Kiaat wood with black hardwood deck
    250 lb. steel prod
Bow irons (all metal coated with black enamel paint)
    Spare string
    7 heavy Massaranduba bolts
Very accurate bow with smooth trigger
Easy to cock with a rope cocker

Original owner, bought in 2013 for $910.84 (price with shipping)
Asking $650. Free shipping to USA lower 48
Will send several photos via email attachment.
    Thanks

I'm new on this forum. I've got 4 medieval crossbows and one (an Ulrich) being built at SwiftHound Bows.  If I were buying I would want some assurances/references.

I've been an avid airgunner since 1985 and have bought and sold quite a few.  You can check some of my references/integrity on the Yellow Airgun Forum Board of Inquiry (BOI).  Here is the link:

You can do a search for me:  Tony Uriz, aka:  TLU

    thanks,
    T.

Tony: if you're buying an Ulrich bow from my old apprentice/journeywoman at Swifthound bows, you're in for a treat.  He work is beautiful.  Geezer.

Yes, her work is absolutely stunning.  I have one of her target bows. I also have one of yours.  Like them all!
