    Dumbest Guy to Ever Try!!!

Post by TDHorton on Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:57 pm

I built and flew my own airplane (Christen Eagle--aerobatic biplane), I'm building a kit car (I knew NOTHING about cars, so I thought I'd try to learn) and now want to try to build a crossbow. I started one in 8th grade wood shop, but didn't finish it before the end of the school year, and the teacher wouldn't let us take an unfinished project home. (Looking back, that doesn't make a lot of sense!!) I don't have a clue where to start, so I'll try to find the right place to ask my goofy questions. Here in the mountains of Colorado.

    Hello TDHorton,

    Welcome the forum.

The story about building and flying your very own plane is simply amazing ( pics!pics!pics!)...you should have no problem building a crossbow. Our forum here is fairly fresh(yet full of brilliant minds), so you should have absolutely no problem finding your way around here.

    Good Day,

    Ivo

Thanks for the vote of confidence! Tried to upload a photo of the Eagle, but "Help" said it has to be on the internet, not just on my computer, so...

Welcome Terry! I just signed on and started researching these things a few weeks ago. Gathered necessary data and enough stuff together to start building. There is some very good help here and with it I am sure you can get one of these old crossbows built.
When I get mine finished I will let you shoot it and you can let me fly that neat plane cheers

No biggie, I haven't updated the "Help" option because 99.9% of the time people ignore it. Here is a topic explaining how to use the forum's built in image sharing service>>>Link....if you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM.
