Medieval Crossbows website problems? Empty Medieval Crossbows website problems?

Post by Tinker Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:29 am

I was wondering if others have been having a problem accessing the site: http://www.stormthewalls.kicks-ass.net/Crossbows/crossbows.htm.

A week ago it seemed to be working fine, now it intermittently works and some of the internal links to crossbow building tutorial are not working. Is it me or are others having the same problem Suspect

    Thanks

Yeh I noticed that too, these guys seem to go on and off...that's the reality of having to pay for your website ...all in all it is a great site and I'm hoping they will be back up and running soon!

Glad it was not on my end! I had located a "Wealth" of information there that I was going to go back and study closely as I got into this 'build' sander .... Now it's escaped.... "Oh well,

Medieval Crossbows website problems? Empty Kurt's Ghost site

Post by Geezer Sun Aug 01, 2010 12:03 pm

Storm the Walls' there-again, gone-again web site belongs to my old friend Kurt Suleski. Indeed it is full of good information, about crossbows, catapults, machine-guns and other stuff that goes splat/boom/twang. It's worth going back for if everything is down... but I recommend copying stuff over to your system when you can get it, so you're not inconvenienced later. Geezer.

"Stellar Idea!" (Why didn't I think of that when I was there) Laughing

If'n you know the Gent GEEZER, mayhaps you could direct me to somewhere else I might get pictures of the German crossbow Mr Suleski has on his website that has the hawk (as I recall) relief carved into it's sides. If'n I can come up with workable images I think I would like to co-opt that idea.

    Hello zhangyimou,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the link, only they didn't move. The website you linked to doesn't look like it's related to "storm the walls" in any way. Either way...Thanks for the effort. Medieval Crossbows website problems? Icon_smile

Medieval Crossbows website problems? Empty storm the walls site

Post by Geezer Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:12 pm

Okay, Tinker has been complaining about Storm the Walls being down. I managed to get my old friend Kurt Suleski by e mail. The Storm the Walls crashed thanks to a computer virus. Kurt's machine had to be re-formatted, and with that, plus travelling and some health issues, it's taken a while to get back together, but if I know Kurt, it WILL get back up. Kurt sez if you wanna contact him, send a message to: ksuleski@comcast.net
I've sent him the addy for Arbalist Guild, in hopes he'll join in. Geezer
(you see, I TOLD you I'd get around to it.) G.

Try the site now, guys... There may be a few links broken yet. That's what happens when you get popular enough to be a target of hackers...
