Greetings! Sorry for this late introduction and hopefully this will clear up questions of my first posting. Embarassed

I am Deletha Boyd, known at Lady Deletha of Anandyrdale in the SCA, and the wife of Master Bran Padraig. By my own right I am a Bowmaster (one of the top rankings in the SCA) with a 13th century Western European style replica crossbow. I also fight hardsuit (sword and shield), and I'm learning how to do casting with brass and bronze in sand and in lost wax, besides pewter in soap stone. Outside of the SCA I am a mechanical engineer specializing in energetic devices, though currently a stay at home mom of 2 ages 3 and 6.

As to how I know about the building of the crossbow mentioned in the "New Baronial Champion!" thread, I assisted in the building of it and its sisters, including mine. I'm sure Master Bran Padraig has some of the pictures posted, but if not, I'll encourage him to do so.

Now the avatar.... I really liked the Matrix and Trinity. Though Trinity takes a supporting type roll in the relationship, she is confident and when necessary deadly. Take from this what you will. Wink

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Its nice to see another mechanical engineer on here. Of course that means I'll have to be double checking my math closer before I post it here. Razz

    Hi and again Welcome!

Thank you for the introduction and clarifying the situation. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding - I'm always on a look out for a possible Troll, so I reserve the right to demand an explanation.
Again you have my apology Embarassed ...I'm actually kinda happy that my theories were wrong. Smile

I share some of your interests as I'm a Dental Tech - Goldman by profession(one of my few) and do know quite a bit about precision investment casting, been doing that for years. I have some good literature on the subject, do everything by the book, and will be glad to look into any problems for you.

    So Lady Deletha,

a Belated, yet still special Welcome to our group!

And considering your choise of character, I might just know the thing. Smile

I wonder if Tony Vivaldi would have liked it that way...

Love it when people know what they're talking about. cheers

Hmmm... could have been anything from "Loved it" to "Jumped on the stage and slapped the bastard in the mouth"

The world may never know.... Belated introduction 722249

    Still one fact remains...

The man has been dead for hundreds of years and still his music inspires musicians of all styles and ages. Gotta give him that and that performance, though a remix of his work, it's still a tribute to Vivaldi's great composition. Smile
