I have been shooting quite a bit of crazy ammo these last four years. But there are still a few challenges left. One of these much asked for weapons is a slingshot crossbow that can shoot pointy, dangerous throwing knifes with force.

Now a throwing knife isn't very well suited for beeing fired from a crossbow. The bottom heavy knifes are supposed to spin around in the throw, which requires a ton of practice. But to be shot straight from a crossbow requires a specifically designed guiding system.

The simple, but effective weapon presented in this video uses four flat aluminum rods as guides for the knife, which works quite well. Three layers of Thera Band Gold drive the blades far faster than any human beeing could throw them - and with serious accuracy.

There is room for enhancements, especially the looks can be much improved. But for the 8 hours I spent on it so far, I am fairly pleased.

As a bonus, the second "Zodiac sign" prize slingshot is presented, made from two different types of wood, and featuring twin forks.

Cool as a knife, axe, bo shuriken, and pretty much anything that will stick thrower i love this. I mostly have been using no spin and Yury Fedins wave throw as of late for ease of throwing without judging rotations. But i find myself missing the power of the circus throw. Your crossbow melds the power off the circus throw and the ease of the no spin very cool in deed Cool.

Joerg, I like it a lot! I've been tossing around ideas for launching throwing knives and stars with a crossbow, you've reinspired me!

So I really should NOT have looked at this thread, or watched this video... Now all sorts of ideas are brewing in my head.

I'm still on the saw blade launcher deal, as well as drawing out that pencil shooter and some other things I mentioned here and there, but that knife shooter is pretty menacing machine. Smile Have you tried shooting it under different angles to see if any angle position in particular gives a more stable launch (~noticed some blades tumble a bit~)? My guess would be, rolling it 90 degrees (so bands are in the vertical plane) would make for a more stable shooter. scratch Shooting throwing knifes with the slingshot (crossbow) 874442478 Also stabilization is an interesting topic, but with knives...maaaan, that's going ot be tough since there is so little room to play...Drilling holes in the handle being probably one of the very few adjustments available to shift the FOC around. Yet another wonderfully bizarre and cool weapon. Thanks for posting this! Very, very cool, and I think a decent zombie killer, as those knives would I think punch right through to the frontal lobe.
