    Hi-I am new to the forum and have been enjoying it

    At the bottom at the front of his crossbow there is a steel

    loop and i have no idea what it is used for??

    could someone explain the use for me

    Which crossbow are you talking about? Mr. Sam has posted a number of them here. The Spanish one?

    I have always figured it's a hook for hanging the bow up, either on the wall, or on saddle-harness. Maybe you could hang it from a shoulder-harness as well, but the stock would probably be too long for hanging from the belt. Whatever it's for, these things are fairly common on Spanish/Italian bows. Geezer.
