making a hardwood inlay for the arrow, also to reduce wear of the string on the soft pine.

Sorry no pictures in between the last one. Anyway the previous picture shows the nylon nut i made to test it. Also added the foot bracket, strip metal bend into shape, made cutaways for the blade and rivets to mount it together. Forged an old bolt into a pin to hold it in the stock. The prod or blade is placed in the space in the stock wrapped in rough leather wich i oiled with old engine oil, damps the energy when i fire.

The string i made from steel cable about 5mm thick. The loops i made using 15mm copper waterpipe wich i compressed an folded around, zoom in to get a better look. Later on i adjusted te stock to look more medieval and i forged the trigger. The nut is replaced by a hardwood one and a sheetmetal arrowclip covers it nicely!

These are my bolts! 12"long, 10mm thick shafts. I forged the arrowheads myself, long description is in "new member" topic. I glued them to the pine shafts using epoxy resin. leather bindings also with resin. Epoxy is a modern resin but nevertheless a resin wich i believ they would have used(am i right??). The fletching are Seagull, allthough the second from the left is special, feathers from a dove my cat Gizmo killed and ate "head to toe" skull and bones...... I think i did a nice job studying old arrows, correct me if i'm wrong.

    Well, thats about it guys!

Dont know when i will start a new one.

I think it will be stronger and maybe i'll try some bone inlay for the top. Or maybe silver decorations? Who knows. Thanks in advance for any replies, i look forward to hear any comments on how u think it would look better, what timeframe u would place it in or just questions "how and what".

    Greetings
