    Long time lurker registering

Post by hullutiedemies on Sat Jul 07, 2012 11:58 am

    Howdy hi, children

Been lurking here for a while.
    Signin in now.

In 1978 got my first rubberband suction-cup crossbow from local edition of "Pifs Gadget" magazine (our European audience possibly knows what I'm talking about).
Made my first own not awfully well performing crossbow from scratch same year. Been building them ever since.

My attitude is primitivist, survivalist, post-apocalyptic. Meaning cheap tools, locally available materials, trying to avoid ready-made components.
Main focus is light projectiles & fast speeds.
Approach rather prototype-builder/product developer than craftsman. I don't usually like to make two of a kind.

I also make and shoot longbows.

Decided to change screen name from "Nerd Flintstone" to hullu_tiedemies.
As it does not make sense to have English name if one is not from England.
