Been lurking here for a while.
Signin in now.
In 1978 got my first rubberband suction-cup crossbow from local edition of "Pifs Gadget" magazine (our European audience possibly knows what I'm talking about).
Made my first own not awfully well performing crossbow from scratch same year. Been building them ever since.
My attitude is primitivist, survivalist, post-apocalyptic. Meaning cheap tools, locally available materials, trying to avoid ready-made components.
Main focus is light projectiles & fast speeds.
Approach rather prototype-builder/product developer than craftsman. I don't usually like to make two of a kind.
I also make and shoot longbows.
