As a new guy, checking out the site for goodies, I've noticed a LOT of
dead links.... well not necessarily dead links, but links that lead to
sites/vendors etc that are no longer in business.

    Talisman Bows
    Olden Bolts
Elk Ridge to name a few...

    FWIW.
Jens Sensfelder, mentioned in several discussion as a builder of superior pros, will not ship to America. He says's there's too many hassles; even though I suggested not stringing the prod, and shipping it as a part for my Saab.

I also discovered that the email address listed here and there for Hightower Crossbows is no longer valid.

Yes, sadly, my friend Jim Atwood of Olden Bolts (listed here as Silly Person) is no longer with us. He closed up his business and then he died. I however am still in business.

Thanks Mac, it was hard on everybody who knew him... and hardest on Jim of course. He was a good friend and incredibly handy around the shop... an inveterate builder of jigs and finder of workable short-cuts to get things done better and faster. Now gone, alas. Geezer

Geezer, wasn't he involved here recently in some sort of web design or site optimization thing? Life really is fleeting, and it ends so quickly, no matter your age.

Yes, 'Silly Person' offered advice on means to access stuff on others' sites without overloading their band-width. Jim knew his computers coming and going. Geezer
