    First topic message reminder :

after some time past with others projects I am back to rubber powered crossbow . This time we can say :pistol or short crossbow. The setting is still inswinger but lighter as possible end bull-pup configuration. First picture is the trigger mechanism. All the metal part are aluminium for the weight end the ease of work.[img][/img]inswinger :evolution still rubber powered - Page 2 Img_0010

Very Happy

You are certainly right but more pulley = more friction , more weight. Steel spring are perfect but heavy and slow and as you say need re-enforcement, use of steel add weight so = wast of power .Why not but is not my favourite option.

No ball bearing, to complicate, simple washer fit very well if the levers are very lightly tight.

I see , you make a good point, I've been wondering how a steel string would react to aluminum trigger components wear and tear wise.

    Hello Jeep

I love a lot your inswinger weapon...Is the correct name? Well, please tell me how long a short pistol bolt dart goes when you fire your exceptional well done prototype flipper. You know I am an old man (78 years old) but Latin (Portuguese) and here we associate always the distance to the efficiency...It is wrong of course. By the way I think to make a flipper following your concept...but more easy...I do not know is I will terminate it because I am fighting against a one second cancer just now. But I need dreams till the end...you see.

    Have a nice day.

    Regards from Octávio Oliveira

Octavio; Hang tight my friend. Keep your mind busy and you'll do well. If you don't mind I'll say a little prayer for you while you are building. Keep in touch here.I'm old too--72. I spend my extra time here and building.
