I make custom Flemish twist crossbow strings for medieval crossbows. The first 2 pix I call "Sinew". I use BCY B55 Dacron, BCY Dynaflight 97, BCY Force 10 [the world's strongest bowstring material], Brownell SX-2, and other materials. I stretch my B55 Dacron strings to over 400 pounds to remove creep, and yet still retain its forgiving qualities.
The centers are served with black Majesty, or the center can have extra material twisted in and use no serving at all; very authentic-looking, and tested to over 1000 shots with no wear-through.
My servings do not separate... period. Search Ebay for "Jack Pine strings" any day but Sunday, or PM or email me directly.
