    Hello Everyone,

I will be absent a little bit more than usual from the forum for the next few days to work on some forum improvements, so you have my apologies.

While I AM here, I would like to welcome the new members that have joined in the past couple of days. I'm sure that you as well as other members will enjoy browsing the "Crossbow Building Resources" forum that's being put together for you at the moment.

Thank you all for stopping by!

    Ivo

Added a Quick Log-in window in the top right corner that doubles as your Profile access panel. I know it's right above the so called Controll Panel, but it's a nice touch *I think* tongue

Also added pictures to our friend's website links (Custom Crossbow Builders) - Geezer, Lightly, i see you guys on here all the time, so I thought it would be a nice touch too. Best of everything folks. Very Happy

Think it's about time you got your own Admin Key, so you stop using mine.

Good improvements, I like. Just don't go crazy. Laughing

Hey guys, checking back in with some ideas on improving the forum.

I want to do an index of topics.

Basically a topic where we'll have

    • Finished builds
    • Medieval discussions
    • Modern discussions
    • Technology & Materials
    • Workshop & Tools

All laid out in a nice and organized tables that will be updated every week or so, then I'll cross-link them with the Glossary of Terms (which also needs some major updating), and ultimately set up good ground for updating the Wiki...that last one has been way overdue and I really want to get back into it.
This is just a heads up, I'll be making the topic discussing this project in more detail tonigh along with some other stuff. Smile
    Cheers!
    Ivo

One thing that I personally think would improve this website, and greatly assist members(especially those who are inexperienced builders)would be to have a separate category for,as already has been mentioned, finished builds. Many members have been kind enough to publish pictures of the various stages of construction,if these pictures and the finished crossbow could be put in a separate file, and all files in a new category, such as 'Crossbow builds',I think this would be of invaluable help to less experienced builders(such as myself)This is already an excellent website, and I appreciate the work that has been, and is still being done by admin in setting up and running it.
