Welcome to the site Adler. It's always nice to see another SCAdian on here. 
What Kingdom and/or group do shoot with?
As for SCA legal target crossbows. There are a few out there but I'll just recommend the only one I have dealt with. "New World Arbalest" http://crossbows.net The link is also on the sidebar to the right.
I have a couple of there crossbows and have had good luck with them, won a Baronial championship with my newest one. They deliver a great product at a good price, they really put a lot of work into building a nice crossbow and they have a great selection of styles that they build.
Oh yeah and they post here regularly so if you have question you can contact them here as well.
I would gladly by a third crossbow from them.

Your a bit north of me. I'm in Barony of Tir Ysgithr down a little south of you. There are a couple of other members on the forum from Atenveldt as well.
Hopefully you'll make down to Estrella to show off your new toy being that Highlands war has already passed. Of course that all depends if I can find time to make it too the archery range during Estrella.
