Based on Alchems plan, parts. Attached are a few photos. I didn’t worry too much about keeping it medieval, i.e. it has a trigger safety, a rifle butt and an Excalibur rope pulley thing. Since these photos it has a red dot site . Some may be interested in the simple etching process using Iron Sulphite slurry and cathode/ anode. I hooked mine up to my 14v drill charger. The prod pictured is 175lb and I have a 225 on order. Haven’t made bolts yet or installed the stirrup.
Here it is near finished:
Anchem parts, the prod is from Alchem as well:
Cathod/ Anode and a peanut butter jar...
Sketching the sideplate out in photoshop. Then print on glossy paper. Transfer the image onto steel with clothes iron. The toner acts as an etch resist.
Vogue magazine works well. Don't take your GFs French Vogue
an hour in the stuff...
Safety pivots and jams the trigger 'cam style' works well.
Various bits after blueing:
Left to right, top plate, bolt retainer, trigger plate, butt plate, ABS nut.
I fashioned the stock in pine first as a test and then in walnut.
