    Solidworks Empty Solidworks

Post by Jacobasims Fri Dec 14, 2012 7:09 am

Greetings from the south west end of England (Cornwall) everyone ,
i'm very new to crossbows having only fired my friends pistol crossbow so i have decided to make my own but in full length, coming from an archery background i have no idea how to design the trigger.

now, the reason this is in this section is because i use Solidworks a lot and have decided to design the trigger mechanism of my crossbow on this program and i was wondering if anyone else on here is familiar with the use of Solidworks, and if you are do you have any existing trigger mechanisms in this format?
    Thanks Jacob

easy enough to draft with paper but with Solidworks i can then use a CNC milling machine (access to engineering department at college)and test stresses and various other things, all good fun. Very Happy
