Standard hello post and site looks good so far!

Recently arranged a 'Kit' Pistol Crossbow from Ebay and looking forward to building that, I was considering one for ages, but the commercial offerings look more like toys or junk to me?

Mines looks like someone has put together a kit of parts, but hasnt assembled it yet. Or it may have been for another person, either way it looks like something worth building. Stock is mahoganay stock and steel metalwork, including the prod.

The trigger looks rather agricultural, so that may need developing. Theres a fair amount of wood above the wrist holding it, so it may be possible to have a removable 'stock' for no other reason than theres room for one.

I'll try to post a link so the guys who know whats what, can tell me Ive just bought a complete lemon!

It look fun and almost complete, and well designed maybe lake of a pair of spring for the trigger. Good witness of the 70...
And for the price it is worth to try ,you probably will have good surprise!!! A good trigger assembly is most of the time rather simple... Put it tougether ,test it and send pictures and conclusions and if you don't want it I'll by....

LOL....Your looking at the starting price mate, not what I paid for it Im afraid?

In the past I've made walnut stocks for air rifles, sporting & thumbhole, so Im ok on the creative bit. At these sizes it should be much easier for me when it comes to finishing as well. I think the visible metalwork is steel, so that will probably get powder coated in black, std stain and varnish for the wood. But it can be hard finding a good stain, most can look to 'red' especially on mahoganay, which can go a lovely nut brown.
