Greetings, having seen such a wealth of information on this site, i decided it was time i joined. i do medieval longbow archery ( dont spit !! ) and i am involved in 14th cent re-enactment, at a recent re-enactors market i picked up a nice 2nd hand crossbow, although i have longbows i have a bit of an interest of the french side during the 100 years wars too, not wishing to portray a ''Frenchie'' bowman as my alter ego, i thought a crossbow would be more in keeping with the persona, the crossbow cost me £100 which seems a good bargain.. although i have a working knowledge of longbow archery, i am looking forward to learning more about all aspects of crossbows, :-)
