Hello Everyone,
This is your Pilot speaking.
Apologies for the absence.
I've been informed that New Members are having trouble registering on the forum.
The issue was on my end and it has been fixed.
Apparently after one of the updates the Activation has beer reset to default (i.e. by Admin), however emails of new members joining have been coming in saying only that a new member has joined and nothing more. So I had no idea what was really happening under the hood.
~forum's check engine light burnt out so to speak~
All fixed now and settings have been adjusted to give the power back to the people.
I'll be writing back to some members about activating their accounts as some may need to go through the registration process once more, as I'll be refreshing the "Inactive Accounts" list to free up their email for re-registration.
Again, Sorry for the inconvenience.
PS: I think we should all be glad I'm not an actual Pilot.
Ok.
That's one issue down...now onto the next.
A fix is a fix, but only goes so far.
I assume there may be more people joining, but their accounts remaining inactive for whatever reasons spawned under the hood of this thing (always a possibility). Thus I'd like everyone who's having issues to contact me via "Contact" button on the bottom of the page (I'll get a PM and an e-mail) and I'll do my best to help.
Reminder:
~ Upon Registration you will be receiving an e-mail with an activation link to follow in order to validate one's membership.
~If no such email arrives...Please make sure to check all folders (I know, anything other than an occasional letter from a Nigerian Prince rarely ends up in the Spam folder, but check anyway)
...This should help speed up the process a bit if you're having trouble registering. Though you know I'm still gonna ask, still I'm letting you know ahead, so we can slap a check mark on that one and move on to figuring out whats *really* happening).
Last but not least,
I'd like to thank one of our members for tracking me down and letting me know about the problems we've been having here.
Honestly...I got no excuses.
My bad, I've been away from my post, but there are actions being taken to make this ride a bit smoother...stay tuned for developments.
Thanks again,
Ivo
