Hi all. I'm a guy from Pakistan.
It feels good to learn that there is a crossbows related online community. A cousin introduced me to crossbows in my early teen years by building a very simple rubber powered crossbow. That was more than a decade ago and it took only about 10 minutes building that simplistic model.
After that, I made that simplistic model several times for leisure and fun. Lately, I was introduced to Joerg Sprave's unimaginably creative Slingshot Channel on youtube and it has thrown a fiery cinder in my dormant urge to build a better crossbow.
Of course it is going to be either a slingbow (crossbow powered by rubber, instead of flexible limbs) or a spring powered model. I have settled with a flipper design as this is what appears to be the most suitable model for these propulsion systems.
I have a lot of questions in mind regarding my first detailed project. I will post the diagrams in the appropriate categories and flood you experts with a zillion annoying questions about the details.
Bear with me please, as I embark on my blissful journey to making my first "adult" crossbow.
p.s. if you have read this far without tearing up your computer, it means you have enough patience to tolerate me and we can get alongwith some brawls and fist fights smoothly and happily
