Hey folks! Long time no see... been busy...

Sooooo. Some time ago, one of you kind folks put out a link, that led me down a delightful road studded with gorgeous crossbows nearly all the way. Then, I came across this bow in there:
    http://www.photo.rmn.fr/cf/htm/CPicZ.aspx?E=2C6NU0IJZJZJ

(Sorry, Ivo, I cannot remember how to post photo directly on the forum, been too long since I did the last one!

I fell completely head over heels for it, and nothing will do but that I make it.
However, I do not read French, and using Google Translate is so clunky. Given all that, I cannot find more info about this particular bow. (that is, besides the meager info next to the bow that the translating program could do) Save that it is in the Paris Army Museum. Or was.
Has anyone here seen it, heard of it? Have any other information? Point me in any direction?

I need precise measurements, and would LOVE more photos from many angles.

    Thanks! And take care all...

    Best!
    Lightly.

    JMC,

I can already see that this is going to be splendid!

Will you tell us about the construction of the composite prod?

I was inspired by this book: Die Hornbogenarmbrust Holger Richter.
the bow is made with wood ,horn ,sinews and glue bone.
it will take a year before drying tests

    JMC,

    Those look nice!

Can you tell us some things about your process? From what part of the horn are you cutting your plates? Are you flattening the plates? How are you putting the grooves in the horn? How are you holding the horn pieces together while the glue sets? What are you doing at the place where the "ears" join the bow?
