    Hi there!

    Just joined the forum. I live in S.W. London and have been making English Longbows, primitive bows and other archery tackle for a number of years. I shoot field archery and roving marks. I'm interested in medieval and historic crossbows and have just made a simple crossbow with a lonely piece of yew which was too short for any other job (separate post to follow in medieval section).

    Looking forward to learning more from you guys about the dark art of crossbows

    Welcome! Great first attempt. Lots and lots of historical and practical information here for your perusal.

    Southwest London, eh? My Lady is originally from a bit farther southwest -- little place called Brighton!
