Hello.
Location usa. Michigan
work truckdriver
hobies many:
in the SCA shooting archery. Am qualified as a marshal (means i can run an event) but i also bould my own arrows for shooting. I make the jigs i need to make what i want. I make the shafts from port orchard cedar. I made a jig to cut them down to 5/16 then i have a jig for testing the spline weights . And a jig to dip the arrows with poly. I cut my own feathers (even real turkey ones when i can get them) i also hand wrap them with string (throught the feathers) i think it looks nice and it holds the feathers on longer and i dont have a chance of having a feather stick into my have when released from bow.so far i have made 5 dozen and now am makeing a dozen for a friend. I also made a jig to make bow continous bow strings (all the way up to 70+ inches for long bows)
When i can ill supply a couple of picks when i figure out how on this tablet.
i wanted to get into making a crossbow for my events and even making the bolts for it (since i have the jigs for arrows now anyway). So i may have some basic questions (so forgive me in advance) in making sure my ideas are correct.
Thanks for the invite and hope every shot finds its intended target
