To finish up my hammer trigger I only need to add a retention spring of some type. I remembered seeing somewhere, I think on this site, that you could make one from PVC pipe. That sounded a bit strange to me but I was curious so I gave it a try. And it worked great! 
So I thought I would share.
First I cut a section of 3/4" thin walled PVC pipe in half. Then I heated it with a heat gun and when it got soft, I clamped it between two boards and let it cool. Looking at the nice flat springy material the came out, no one would ever guess it came from a pipe.
Here is a picture with the retention spring laid out:
And here it is cut out, heated again and bent, and screwed to the lock.
A quick few minutes with a sharpie turned it into this:
My little test bed bow actually turned out to be quite a nice shooter. No power house but simple and a lot of fun to shoot. I am going to leave it alone now and built a couple of other "test beds" for my other new action designs.
Too many fun things to experment with, not enough time!
