Well, I stumbled across this forum and it looks like an interesting place to hang out.

My name is Tod and I make assorted historical reproductions, mainly knives and daggers but a few bows as well and my aim is to try to make them as similar to the originals as I can.

I hope to see you around.

    Tod

    Hi Tod,

Welcome aboard. Are you "the" Tod in Oxford, UK that I think you are? If so, then your incredible "stuff" is already known and well respected on this forum.

    Hi Pavise,

Well I guess there are a few Tods in Oxford, but I am the Tod from Tods Stuff and thanks for the compliment.

As ever I am busy as hell, but I am looking forward to having a good look round and one day contributing to some threads.

    Tod

    Welcome Tod,

I second what Pavise said... amazing "stuff"!

When I first saw your work I automatically thought of inviting you to join this forum, but at that same moment decided that it will be more interesting for you to find it yourself one day.

    Welcome to The Arbalist Guild!

Thanks for the kind words Ivo.

Well I have found it and now I just have to find time to be an active member of it!

I will try to post up new projects as I start them and hopefully that will prove of interest.

I have just finished a cranequin for a bow I made a month or two back and that has just gone off, but the next one is a windlass bow of about 850lb and that should happen in the next couple of weeks. The windlass is half done already but everything else is still left to do.

Well then I wish you luck on this project. There are only a handful of people I know who have the guts to build such powerful crossbows.
