    Nylon as Nut Material

Post by Levnerad on Sat Jul 04, 2015 5:12 pm

I have come across the problem of obtaining nut material. Nylon rods are of free and easy access to me. Buying delrin online would be too much of a hassle and also a waste if nylon is acceptable.

Does anyone have any idea if nylon would be appropriate for a crossbow with a fiberglass prod of 150 pounds. If not, do you know of any sites with cheap delrin?

    Thank You

As I have to several other forum members, I can send you a delrin nut. I have a little left. It it 1.5" and I face it off to 1" I can center drill it for you too. I really prefer to sent to US only, as international shipping is a tad high.
Delrin is much stronger than Nylon.
    Let me know.
