    I found this image on WikiMedia Commons and thought you Steampunkers might like it. This is an early 19th century pistolbow for home recreational shooting. Made by Frédéric Siber in Morges, Switzerland. Apparently it is on display at the Morges military museum.

    Like the second one. The prod attachment system almost looks like a modern pistol bow. A simple screw clamp brazed to the bottom flat of the barrel.

    I dont have the book on the crossbows of the royal dutch army museum, i live 1,5 hours away from it, but i think there are a few people here who do have it an can provide the info u seek.
