As Bones might have said to Kirk "Dammit Jim, I'm a woodworker not a metalsmith!" I do really good woodwork, build musical instruments and such, but haven't much of a clue when it come to metal.
I'm looking for someone who can make me a small steel or aluminum prod prod for one or more crossbow pistols/slurbows I want to build, similar to the one in my Avatar. I don't want it to be over 12" tip-to-tip strung, and I want the draw weight to be at least 50 pounds.
Is it possible one of you metal wonderworkers can make me such a critter? Just brainstorming here... Could you shorten one of those 50# pistol bow replacement prods to 10" or 12" and keep the weight between 50# and 80#? Get rid of the plastic end and grind real bow tips into it? Enquiring minds want to know...
