ATTN Moderators -- I Would Like To Know Why

Post by kenh on Sun Aug 26, 2012 3:44 pm

Two posts I made - one today and one yesterday were removed. As far as I can determine they contained no bad language, or anything wrong that I could determine from the Rules. Unless you have a hidden rule about mentioning sources for things that are not long time members of the Guild or paying advertisers.

I sure would like a detailed explanation of why those posts were removed. One was a reply to RKnack's intro post and the other a reply to Renaissanceman's intro post.

    Hey man,

We don't delete anyone's posts (...if we don't like something, we'll just give you hell for it )

...forum is free for all, so to speak. Smile No sponsors either....Just us - Guys.

Either way, I checked it out...

Nothing popped up in the records, no Admin/Moderator actions of any kind. If something was deleted, it would have pop up in the list, trust me.

What that does look like, is something I had problems with at times...*temporary loss of connection..or..forum glitch*...~ the post would go through (it would seem), but after I refreshed the page and looked back...nothing really happened.

I mean, that's the only explanation I have for it...shitty connection...quirky software...we all run into it sometimes. Sorry to hear about it.

One thing I want people to know is - you guys are all welcome here to share information and discuss it's applications.(...of course within a safe margin Smile )

See if you can track down the source of that problem and enjoy the forum.

    Ivo

Thanks Ivo - that's just what happened. I didn't think I'd done anything wrong. I wrote and posted, and saw that my bit was posted. Then I went back later and they weren't there. I just wondered because I hadn't been having any connection problems on this end since we bought a new modem a couple weeks ago.

Oh well... Random Electrons strike again I guess.
