I've been taking peeks at our forum activity...I must say I can barely keep up with you guys. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Drunken_smilie

I've also noticed certain organizations/clubs being mentioned in the conversations and that our members are currently active participants in the events these organizations are holding. This got me thinking...our forum(like any other) is capable of forming "groups" other than just Admins/Mods, but also organizations, clubs, and pretty much any thing that any of us may be a part of.

This feature will allow us to send news and invitations to the future events to the entire group instead of posting single PM messages to the interested person....as well as organize an additional forum section where such information can be shared with public along with pictures and videos from the events you attended.

So if you guys like the idea and would like to submit your Group/Club to out forum...let me know in this topic. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Icon_biggrin

Another cool thing is your group can be identified with a different color of your forum name/nickname and a small icon/logo of your group that you can submit along with your Group/Club information.

I hope you guys take advantage of this feature as I believe it will make thing much more personalized and thus more fun for all of us. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Icon_king

    Good Day,

Sounds like a cool idea. Can someone be part of multiple groups?

Yep, it's possible to enter multiple groups...for being in the mailing list or having certain privileges(ex. moderation of a group specific forum section).

What groups did you have in mind? ...wanted to submit?

PS: There might be a limit when it comes to name color and rep. logos. When you enter a group a special rank is assigned, that is what gives the colored name and a logo/badge...I have a feeling these settings might overlap when multiple ranks are assigned to one account and the last one might be set as default and thus might block others from being visible, again I'll have to test it out to know for sure. If it doesn't work there is always an option of sending a note to the host asking for this to be fixed in the next update. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Icon_biggrin

Hmm an SCA group might be cool.

Not quite sure I understand where you're going with this but I'd be for an SCA group as well.

I did a little research, we might be seeing some changes in a day or two. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Icon_wink

    kiltedcelt,

This doesn't necessarily have to be a group, it can simply be an additional description quote whith which you identify yourself...any way...you'll see what I mean pretty soon. Member groups - SCA, Cranequin Felowship(guild), etc. Icon_biggrin
