    Have not yet built a crossbow; however, I own several. My first project will be an Ulrich V scaled down for my grandson. Will use 80lb fiberglass prod, red oak for tiller, delrin nut and mikarta inlays. Will also probably use slobows tickler.

    Don't know if I will be able to post pictures. Same grandson managed to get ketchup in last camera at Disneyland.

    Where in the South? it's a big place. I'm on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

    Ketchup in the camera and you're still gonna build him a crossbow? Good luck with that Laughing

    Seriously -- welcome to the Guild. The Ulrich looks to be a fine bow and you'll have a ball putting it all together. Are you going to tie the roller nut like the original? or pin it? One piece tiller, or two?

    kenh - Gulf side of Pasco. Intend to have a long safety conversation and will stay behind him. Two piece tiller so I can gouge out the interior runs. Haven't decided if I will tie or pin the nuss. Will probably try both and decide then.

    garthhill - Way souther than TN.
