    And yet another project.
There is a whole product family on the works.
    Stay tuned.

Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_latch1
    Moving bolt track,
Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_latch2
with Korean chuko style underside guide rail.
A temporary nailing band quivier holder/fron sight for testing purposes.
This will be replaced with more solid construction, if this works.

Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_latch3
    Bottom-to-top trigger .
Modified Indo-Chinese lock with reverse button trigger. This is smoother than a plain notch lock top-trigger.
Trigger button is on level with bolt track, allowing aiming along the bolt.

Add box magazine and you'll have a Paleo-legal Repeater!  Pretty slick!  Can I see sketch of that trigger setup?

    Added a bolt clip,
Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_latch5
replaced recycled armswith purpose build ones - doubled the draw weight,

a thicker string was needed- 180# was too much for 6 strands of b50

Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_latch4

And after some testing decided to muont quivier this way.

I don't wan a magazine. This thing allready shoots as quickly as a longbow and much more accurately.

Btw - this thing is not paleo legal, too much metal.
Rather this belongs to the Uruk Hai ordnance dept.

This would be difficult with a repeater.
    3"groups from 25 paces
Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_lat_kasa - just aimig along bolt. Next need to fit some kind of rear sight. There is potential for better accuracy.

I don't think I ever make a video. I have no routine for that and no time to learn.

    This is about finished.
Strings and cables could be re-done bit more nicely, but that may happen later
( and pictures could be better, but sub-arctic november is not ideal lighting condition)

Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_orc_4
Orc-head on butt , epoxy putty and enamel paint.
Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_orc_3
Got rid of top trigger and added a Skåne-style pin-lock going through tiller.
A folding rear sight in place of former trigger button.

Loop hanging from trigger is to catch the bipod for transport.
Orc battle bow ( Latched bow ) J_orc_1
    Bipod/Tactical pavise - aspen-rawhide-sand .

The emblem, white Vulcan greeting of Saruman, ensures that this is definitely not tacticool. This is tactigeek. nyeeeeh ! .

Hmmm:  Well, it's different.  I think it could use some duct-tape and maybe a few more twist-ties.  Geezer

    Honey, what are twist-ties ?
English is not my first language.

Anyway I do have tarred linen thread to re-do the cordage work, but then everything needs to be tuned again. And it is winter now, and this is the one device in my inventory that can be operated while wearing mittens. So that will wait until spring.

And painters tape is just the right servig material for plastic strings during testing and breaking in components. Synthetics are allways cheating and cheating is supposed to be easy.

Twist tie = plastic coated soft wire used to close the ubiquitous American plastic-bag enclosed sliced bread.

"Orc Battle Bow", love it! It definitely fits the Orc esthetic as I understand it- ingenious, brutal, and not a bit prettier than it needs to be!
