This is a shop made crossbow, using scrap wood, hardware from the local Ace, and a prod from Ebay.

Just ready for test fire and initial tuning and sighting in.

That's awesome.  Cool  I'm about to get started on my first xbow project, using a set of MK-180 foldable limbs and a red oak 2x4 from Baird Bros.  I'm thinking a simple pin lock for it, though.  I just don't feel skilled enough at this point to go for a more complex trigger mechanism.  In any case, I feel fairly certain it won't turn out as nice as your "hardware special."   Sad  Laughing

Btw, love the sights on that thing.  Cool

Thanks! The sights are actually from old ones I had tried out but rejected for my old Mathews Conquest compund bow. I just had to figure out how to mount them... and I'm sure they will be modified a bit as I proceed.

Nice job! She looks like a lot of fun to shoot. What did you make the nut from?

The nut was made from a piece of 1" diameter aluminum dowel - I purchased a 1' piece from Amazon. I will add a picture of it to the pictures linked above.
