Just saw this really interesting folding crossbow pistol on EBay. Supposed to date from the 1930s and Michigan... Asking $500.

Re: 1930s Folding Pistolbow
Actually, it is a lovely little bow! I wish I could afford that, but, uh... not so much! Too bad... I hope someone gets it who will cherish and appreciate it.
Thanks for the look-see...

Re: 1930s Folding Pistolbow
Just saw the topic while catching up on the reading...
Ahhh...what a sweet little bow! ..Very cool indeed with the *wooden* limbs on it and the riser - so damn cleverly executed!
Big thanks for sharing this jewel!
Anyone have anymore info on this little guy? Honestly, it's the first time I'm seeing one of these.

Re: 1930s Folding Pistolbow
It's till got 6 days to run -- or elsewas re-posted. The seller has had two offers, one expired, the other declined. Here's what he had to say about the piece:
This is an Estate find of an outstanding hand crafted Pistol Crossbow. There is no Makers Mark or any identification that I can find. I was told that it was made in the
late 1930's or early 1940's by a Gunsmith and a Bowyer in the Flint Mi
area but I have no proof of this. The stock looks like Black
Walnut ( hand checkered ) and the limbs look like Osage Orange.
