    Some of my observations, that is a multi axle trigger. The big tickler lever is not the trigger it is just a gaurd. The real trigger is the little fold-up thing underneath.

    Hello, thanks of Ivo! It is really my work. Here my topic http://forum.arbalet.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8251. I did this crossbow more than two years. This crossbow inlayed with polystyrene, it not bone.Embarassed.Now I do the cranequin and I begin the next crossbow.Smile

    U are a real artist!
    I am building a crossbow from around the same period verry similar to your bow.
    But the detail is stunning in your build, mine doesnt even come close.....
    Anyway, thanks for sharing it, it is inspiring.
    Polystireen u say? Good alternative, i am currently shopping up domino peaces to use as imitation ivory but it is very hard to engrave and cut.

    We have a tradition here ( France) when we do almost perfect replica, we engrave the actual date and the reproducer name.It for the future....

    A stunning replica, some great craftmanship there.
    I like your idea of using polystyrene, you'd need the patience of a saint to
    carve all that detail into bone.
    What timber did you make the tiller out of?
