Hi guys, a lot of pictures on this forum are blocked by Photobucket as it seems. These are swapped by a warning sign stating that I should upgrade for "third party hostage". Do you see that too or am I the only one? And what should I upgrade, I don't even use Photobucket..!

As one of the "victims" of this, I can explain...Photobucket is now requiring users to pay a yearly fee of about $400 for photo hosting, otherwise they are blocking all hosted images from third-party viewing, including most all forum posts.

I doubt the pics would be viewable even if viewers (like yourself) upgrade, since the "problem" is with the photo host and account holders themselves. Personally I can't afford such a huge fee, so ALL my photos (10 years of posting in various forums) have now gone blank. Some of my links will get repaired once I find a new host site, but most, sadly, are gone forever.

It's a huge loss to the internet at large, IMHO...an awful lot of interesting, educational posts all around the 'net are now rendered basically worthless. Sad

Thanks for answering and helping me out.
But this is outrageous and looks like blackmailing: "You pay or else I destroy your pictures". I have committed myself to the forum rules, but I could make some hefty moral remarks about doing business like this. There it is again, wolves amongst sheep, if only I could get them in my visor.

I was looking for some advise for my current build but I came across the same problem. Most posts used photobucket, this means I couldn't see any pictures. This really sucks and I hope photobucket understands ( probably not, they obviously want more money.)

I was going to post a build but decided not to because of hosting. As mentioned above i have been on forums where valuable pictures vital to the topic are lost for all to see in years to come for reference, don't know why such a forum like this chose to go this way especially when a picture states a thousand words.
