    So I guess this is where I belong. I started making crossbows about a month ago and I can't seem to stop. It's all consuming. I want to make every type of crossbow in existence and invent a couple new ones if I can. I think I am obsessed.

    Hello.

    Jake;

    If you look around the forums, you will find many recommendations of great books to start you on your crossbow-making adventures! Just keep reading...
    If you also check out my Flickr site, you will find many many sets of photos of several bows that are done and in process, mistakes included, as I also journey along that same adventurous path...
    Here is a start:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/swifthoundbows/sets/72157611937565699/

    That is a photo essay of one of the first client bows that I made.
    There are many folks here much more knowledgeable than I, and after you have gone thru the forums, and still have questions that are not answered here, I am sure they will be kind enough to point you in the correct direction.

    Good luck, and take care!

    Thanks for the welcome Lightly! I have seen your client's bow and I have to say it's outstanding.
