Length of End Loops for Prod String? Empty Length of End Loops for Prod String?

Post by banuvatt on Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:34 pm

I was wondering what length should the end loops be for the prod string? I tried searching online multiple of times couldn't find any information relating to this topic.

Depends on your stringing method.  If you use a stringer and slide the string loops along the prod then the loops must be big enough to facilitate this. Otherwise the loops should be fairly snug but not too tight

The prod is going to be made out of rattan a type of palm, pretty light draw weight. So I am not sure if a stringer is even necessary.

I usually don't use my stringer/bow-press for crossbows under @ 80 lb.  I can do it by myself in the shop, though my system can damage a prod if done wrong. Geezer.
